Okay, I'll admit it. I'm doing a little humble brag here. Newfangled Studios just got named one of Ad Age's Best Places to Work, and I'm bursting with pride. But this isn't about some fancy award or industry recognition (although, that's pretty sweet too). It's about something way more important: the actual people and families that Newfangled Studios impacts every day.  So, forget about what AdAge says. The real test of a great workplace is whether your family approves. After all, they’re not gonna sugarcoat it. So, to celebrate the win, we went straight to the source.

The Newfangled North Star: It's Not Just About the Work

Over the past 16 years, we've built a company culture that's less about corporate rules and more about human connection. Officially, our values are “Respect and Inclusion,”  “Forward Progress,”  “Business Results” and “Creativity and Innovation” …but here's a glimpse into what makes them tick.

• Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: We support each other, collaborate, and celebrate wins together. Everyone has a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude that is rare in a more corporate culture. 
• Family First, Always: Life throws curveballs, and we get that. While we’re a close-knit team, we know your real family always comes first, no questions asked. 
• Passion Meets Paycheck: When we were in-person we had a huge sign on the wall that said “One for the meal, one for the reel.” Sometimes we work for the love of the craft, sometimes we work for the paycheck. And that's totally okay.
• Laughter is Key: We don't take ourselves too seriously. Work hard, play hard, and laugh a lot. Our Slack might be one of the funniest social media platforms there is. 
• Diversity Rules: We embrace our differences because they make us stronger and more creative. 
• Respect is Non-Negotiable: We treat each other and our clients with respect and we also expect it in return. 
• Remote-First & Trust-Based: We hire the best talent, no matter where they live, and trust them to do their thing. (Turns out, people thrive when you give them autonomy!)
