How do massive brands like Google and Disney “show up” in a fandom-driven moment like Star Wars Day? The answer is to celebrate instead of sell. Newfangled worked with the Google app’s marketing and social teams to add an extra dimension to May the Fourth, inviting fans to place a 3D version of Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) into their own environments and take a photo with him.
